Families For Kids Program

Adopt America Network assists families interested in adopting children from U. S. foster care. Our experienced staff answers any and all questions families may have. Our assessors support families through the home study process, providing assistance in registering for required pre-service training, assisting with the completion of all necessary paperwork, and conducting the visits to the family’s home. Once a family’s home study has been approved, AAN’s family caseworkers provide free search and matching services. We work closely with the children’s custodial agency workers to help assure the best possible permanency option for the child and the family. AAN works with families nationwide, making sure that they have the local support needed to successfully navigate their adoption journey.

Adopt America Network brings families together through adoption and supports them even after a child has been placed.

Heart Gallery

AAN partners with Open Homes in Northwest Ohio to travel with a Heart Gallery of waiting and available children for adoption. The Heart Gallery display features 50-60 children who are in need of adoptive families. The display travels to local community events, faith based organizations, and local businesses to raise awareness about the need for foster and adoptive families as well as recruit families for the children featured on the display. Child Focused Recruitment

AAN partners with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption to provide child focused recruitment services to the children in the care of counties in Northwest Ohio. The ten recruiters and three supervisors on staff at AAN are assigned a caseload of over 100 waiting children to actively search to find supports, connections, and adoptive families for them. The Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiters are dedicated to finding the best homes for the youth assigned to them. They start with familiar circles of family, friends, and neighbors and then reach out to the communities in which they live to find prospective permanency options for the children and youth.
