Job Title: Adoption Caseworker
Salary: $ 43,097 per annum
Department: Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Program
Reports to: Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Supervisor
Hours: Hourly, 40 hours per week. Flexible hours on evenings and weekends as needed.
About Us: Adopt America Network (AAN) is a nonprofit organization that connects children
waiting in foster care with permanent families while providing support before, during, and after
the family is united. AAN was founded in 1983 by Richard K. Ransom who was the founder of
Hickory Farms and dedicated his life to helping children. Within this time, we have placed over
4,700 children with permanent families. Today, we provide matching services for families along
with support groups and events catered to adoptive, kinship, and foster families. Additionally, we
operate a child-focused recruitment program for children in Northwest Ohio along with a state-
wide home assessor program for public and private agencies.
About the Role: Adopt America Network facilitates the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Program
made possible by funding through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Through this
program, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption supports the hiring of adoption
professionals, known as recruiters, who are dedicated to finding permanent homes for children
most at risk of aging out of foster care without a family. That includes youth ages 9 and older,
children with special needs and sibling groups. Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters use an
evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model to find the right family for every child.
Qualifications:
A. bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, Human Development and Family Studies or
similar programs.
B. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Adoption Assessor Certification or availability to complete Tier1 and Tier 2
within first year of employment.
C. Satisfactory background check through BCI & FBI
D. Ability to determine the need for advocacy and to advocate on behalf of the children.
E. Good communication skills in negotiation, listening, assessing, counseling, speaking, writing
and documentation.
F. Ability to develop a working relationship with children who are in foster care.
G. Good computer skills.
H. Knowledge of Department of Children and Youth (DCY) adoption laws and rules, child
welfare issues and adoption, and home study procedures and requirements.
I. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and work independently.
J. Excellent time management skills.
K. Willingness to work collaboratively with the WWK team and county agency staff.
Responsibilities:
A. Manage caseload of identified children under the guidelines of WWK’s contract, including
required reports.
B. Network with outside agency workers and professionals to promote the WWK’s program and
the agency’s access to Adopt America Network services on behalf of children in foster care.
C. Attend and participate in area meetings, recruitment events, conferences, and training courses,
as requested by WWK’s Supervisor.
D. Keep supervisor apprised of progress, activity, and problems with assigned cases.
E. Provide AAN staff with information to register the children on the WWK caseload.
F. Work within the child-specific recruitment model as defined by the Dave Thomas Foundation
for Adoption.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Job Description:
Family Support Specialist- Contractor
Hours: part-time position up to 20hours a week, hours vary upon position needs and may include
evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an appropriate discipline is preferred.
Lived experience in adoptions, guardianship, and kinship, and parenting is preferred.
Organizational skills, attentions to detail, sound judgment, integrity and the ability to
work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a
team.
Lived experience with Adoption, Foster care, or Kinship is a plus, but not a requirement.
Supervisor: OAKS Program Manger
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) To provide family coaching as agreed upon by the contractor and contracted as needed.
2) To assist and/or manage OAKS support groups (Family Forum, OAKS ST, or other) as
needed.
3) To check/ and respond to any emails from AAN
4) To attend training as required by AAN for the Family Support Specialist ROLE or POSITION
as needed.
5) To attend other OAKS functions as needed.
6) Complete any documentation timely for programming as requested by AAN.
7) Other duties as requested by AAN.

Position Summary:
The President serves as the chief executive officer of Adopt America Network and is responsible for providing leadership, strategy, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission, skilled in nonprofit management, and experienced in building strong teams, fundraising, and engaging with the community and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement strategic plans in collaboration with the Board.
Provide visionary leadership to staff and volunteers.
Fundraising & Development
Lead fundraising efforts including donor cultivation, grant writing, and events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, partners, and community stakeholders.
Operations & Financial Management
Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure financial sustainability.
Prepare and manage annual budgets in partnership with the Board Treasurer.
Board Engagement
Work closely with the Board of Directors to set goals and provide regular updates.
Assist in board development and governance best practices.
Program Oversight
Ensure high-quality, mission-aligned programming.
Monitor program outcomes and impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Proven track record in fundraising, financial management, and strategic planning.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
