Hunt and Hellesto Family

Meet Kayla Hunt and Joshua Hellesto!

They met while living in Alaska. Joshua was in the army, at Fort Richardson. Kayla moved to Alaska to teach music at a large studio. Kayla’s roommate set them both up on a blind date, which turned into dinner, and hanging out with each other non-stop since! They moved to Bozeman, Montana in 2012, after Joshua got out of the army and planned to attend MSU. They moved to Montana to be closer to family. In 2014 they bought a home and in 2016 they got married. They have a tabby cat who is extremely friendly and playful. He’s getting older but still has some wild spunk in him! They have a corgi-mix dog, he is older, very quiet, exceptionally kind, sweet tempered, and gentle. They love having “family night” with the pets, at least one day over the weekend, which includes watching movies, going for drives, going to Kayla’s family ranch, and hanging out with friends.

Ideally, if even possible, they feel that a sibling pair, would fit into their lives. Kayla works from home and can be with the children. Joshua works as an HVAC installer for the area of Bozeman. Joshua loves cooking. He’s expressed how he’d love to have a child/ children that loved to learn how to cook. Kayla teaches music and has a passion for not only that but creative writing as well. Joshua has described Kayla as: “an aggressive go-getter. She’s detail oriented and nothing slips through the cracks. She has a big heart. In turn Kayla views Joshua as: “unbelievably selfless and compassionate. I can’t describe how many times he’s ignored his own aches and pains to aid me in some way”

Joshua is a Ditidaht First Nation band member which is located at Malachan IR. #11 on Vancouver Island BC, Canada, so they would love to be considered for a Native child or sibling group.

Kayla and Joshua are willing to consider 1-2 children, preferably female, any race, between the ages of 4 and 8 with any of the following special needs:

Anxiety Disorder, Asthma, Attachment Disorder, Eating Disorder, Emotional
