Anthony is a very happy, excitable, and bubbly 15 year old who very much wants to be adopted. Anthony is a high energy child who has an affinity towards the holidays. His favorite holiday is Christmas and he looks forward to the time of year that Christmas songs will be played on the radio. Anthony enjoys eating and likes to eat at McDonald’s and Chinese restaurants. He is described by others as “bubbly, outgoing and very social around people he is familiar with!” Anthony is very excitable and is always on the go. He entered care as an infant, was placed with his grandparents until age 2, and then went to a foster home from 2-4. He was adopted by his foster mom’s in-home support. This adoptive placement dissolved when Anthony was 7 due to the adoptive mother being unable to meet his needs. Anthony moved to a residential treatment center and lived there for 5 years. He then went to another residential treatment center where he has been for the last 2 years. Anthony’s former adoptive mother and his former foster mother are very involved in his life to this day, and he has one weekend visit a month where he spends time with them, as well as staff he formed relationships with during his time at residential treatment. Anthony needs to maintain these contacts so a family in or near Wayne County Michigan (southeastern Michigan) and willing to continue to use these supports as monthly respite will be necessary.
