Age 13

With the promise of being able to go outside and expend some energy, Joey can truly do anything he sets his mind to. Joey is smart, kind, active, and fun to be around. Above all else, Joey is most excited when he is able to express his liveliness. Whether it’s gliding through the water while swimming laps or working on his most powerful homerun swing, Joey loves sports and all strenuous activity. Riding his bike, playing baseball and soccer, and swimming are all among his favorite sports – but that’s not all. Joey enjoys being outside, taking in the beauty of the world outdoors. Camping, fishing, and hiking are all high on his list of favorite things to do. “Get out, stay out” could easily be Joey’s motto.

Currently in the 8th grade, Joey continues to be a bright, successful student. When he puts forth the effort, Joey manages to get all of his work done and in on time. By setting goals and having a clear reward, Joey is able to achieve what he sets his mind on. Having people close to him to help him stay motivated and on track is a huge benefit. Ultimately, Joey is very smart and absolutely has the potential to go far in school.

Like many other kids his age, Joey loves to play video games and cherishes his Kindle. Though we cannot stress enough that he really likes to participate in physical activities, everyone deserves a break to kick back and play a game from time to time.

Joey would really like to be adopted. Joey would do well in any family configuration – with two parents or a single parent home. Having older siblings would be really special for him; brothers and sisters who can help guide and mentor him while also being a friend. Joey will need a family who is patient and can prove that they are here to stay with him forever. Building trust while setting clear boundaries and structure for this young man would be the best thing for him. If you are interested in learning more about Joey, please let us know.
