10 years old

Cordell is drawn to the water; its unexplored depths, its beauty, the

creatures that live within it. He loves to fish and would be so excited

for his family to enjoy the hobby as well. Even when he isn’t fishing,

Cordell loves to explore the outdoors. He has also recently developed an

interest in trains, one of the coolest modes of transportation. Cordell

thoroughly enjoys animals and is very kind and gentle with them.

In fact, Cordell is kind and gentle toward other humans as well. Recently,

Cordell has spent time developing his relationships with his peers and

with adults in his life. Cordell plays well with other kids his age and

responds positively to adult supervision. He thrives in a healthy one on

one situation, both academically and when playing with others.

When given the chance, Cordell does well academically. Cordell thrives

while working one on one with a teacher and prefers a smaller classroom

environment. Cordell works hard to stay focused in school and responds

well to a trusted adult when a bit of redirection is necessary. When

encountering a transition or a shift in his routine, Cordell is most

successful when he is prepared ahead of time.

Building and maintaining strong connections with counselors, teachers, and

other adults has always been one of Cordell’s strong suits. He is quite

attached to a few of his relatives and it would be nice for him to stay in

touch with those members of his family. Cordell would prefer to be an only

child, though his social worker believes he would also do well with older

siblings. A patient family who is supportive, outdoorsy, and loving would

be ideal. If you are interested in learning more about this adventurous
