William has some very nice strengths and talents for his adoptive family to enjoy and encourage. Very proud of his high GPA, he is very successful in school; his love of reading is a real asset. Art and music classes are where he is happiest at school. He might tell you though that lunch is really his favorite class! William clearly has musical talent and lots enthusiasm for music and choir. Choir provides a wonderful opportunity for him to sing and to do a bit of socializing with his friends. William recently really enjoyed participating in a concert which was directed by the choir teacher. When his foster parent asked him what his favorite music is, he laughed and said “the kind that sounds good.” He then went on to name lots of late 80s and early 90s hip hop songs.

William has many friends he enjoys spending time with at school and at the Boys and Girls Club. He really likes to help other students and children figure things out, including helping with homework assignments. He has very good leadership skills.

Among William’s favorite activities are remote control cars, playing video games on the computer, reading new cartoons and comics, and anything to do with super heroes. There seems to be nothing that he doesn’t know about super heroes, and he can talk about them for hours – he’ll be excited to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with his adoptive family. He especially loves super hero video games. He enjoys movies, and earning movie rentals are a proven way to motivate William when needed.

William also has a love of word play and joking around with others. He would really enjoy a family with a sense of humor – and fun!

Because of William’s strong desire to belong and to be ‘just one of the guys,’ he prefers low-key praise from the significant adults in his life.

He doesn’t want to be singled out by effusive praise, he doesn’t want to be made to feel exceptional or special – he’d rather be part of the group.

Even so, praise goes a long way with William, and he will usually meet or exceed your expectations should you suggest he work toward a certain positive goal.

Bright, talented, and social, William is ready for a permanent family who will see that he has the love and acceptance that he longs to have. All families – couple and single parents – who truly like teenagers and who will enjoy and encourage William’s many interests, talents, and strengths should contact us soon!
