Robert is a very social boy with an active sense of curiosity and a huge smile. A puzzle wizard with very good spatial abilities, Robert completes several puzzles a month, many of which have 500 to 1,000 pieces! Among his many favorite activities are swimming, playing T-ball, attending day camps in the summer, dancing and singing, and socializing. He loves to be active and will benefit from a family who values physical activity and an overall healthy lifestyle. He thrives on attention from his favorite adults and loves to explore everything around him. Playful, friendly, and very outgoing, Robert is not at all shy, especially with adults. He’s a great little communicator who speaks quite well and loves to talk and be heard! Although his speech can get garbled when he gets too excited, he’ll often patiently rephrase his words or supplement what he means with gestures.

Robert has blossomed recently, and is doing very well in his daily life. Robert is working with trusted adults to learn the most effective ways to manage his behavior and has been continually successful in his efforts. Supported by the positive parenting skills of his caregivers, who help guide and teach him, Robert has made noticeable progress. Recently, Robert carefully and excitedly helped pick out the perfect outfit for his school picture day! This is an example of the small steps toward his emotional growth that Robert has been working on.

Now in 3rd grade, Robert has a school program that provides great resources for him to learn effectively. With the right supports in place, he is doing well in school. As Robert learns the most appropriate social behaviors, he is happy to be supported by positive role models in the classroom. Robert enjoys being included in school activities but even more so, appreciates the time he has to work in his own space. If he had his choice, he’d sit in his classroom all day and do puzzles.
