10 years

Jacob loves football and is a diehard Seahawks fan! He’s recently been talking about wanting a blue and green Mohawk hairstyle to support his team. He would be thrilled if his adoptive family shared his enthusiasm for the Seahawks too! Jacob has fun playing Minecraft, likes anything to do with cars, and loves reading as much as he loves monster trucks! Jacob really brings joy to almost everything he does. A generally  very sweet, loving boy with a big heart, those around him often find him to be very engaging, helpful, well-mannered, and happy. Jacob deeply cares for others, and has a genuine interest in forming bonds and connecting with peers and adults.

Recently named Student of the Month (pictured with his certificate!), in part to recognize his positive attitude, Jacob has been working hard to do his best every day at school. Now in 4th grade, Jacob’s school program meets his needs well. He appreciates having some extra supports which help him to be successful. Teachers and other staff are very pleased to report that he has made some great progress! Jacob continues to benefit from speech therapy through his school district.

Jacob puts a strong emphasis on doing the right thing, and he’s made amazing progress over the past year; he’s proud of that progress.

Currently, he’s also working on increasing his problem solving skills. A family that could help Jacob be successful in school, and celebrate those successes, however, big or small would benefit Jacob greatly as he continues to strive to do his best.

Jacob truly wants to be part of a family! Jacob’s worker would love to hear from patient, calm and nurturing parent(s) who would welcome this big-hearted boy into their family. Parent(s) who will see that he has the structure; consistent daily routine; clear rules and the educational resources he needs to realize his full potential would be a wonderful fit.
