Vicente is a good humored, personable youngster. He is very outgoing and enjoys interacting with both adults and peers. He loves sports, especially basketball, football, and soccer. Playing his DS and listening to music are also things he enjoys. Vicente enjoys school and is looking forward to playing a musical instrument. He consistently gets all of his points during the school day and often his teachers award him extra points. Vicente receives special assistance at school. Sometimes, homework can be frustrating for him. At times, he can be uncooperative and will try different ways to get out of completing his homework. At times, Vicente can have a short temper, especially when he feels disrespected, and will react physically when upset. He is working on asking permission to borrow things and building relationships. Vicente’s ideal family will be very active, but also be very structured. They will be consistent in their expectations as well as discipline. They will be firm, but also nurturing. The family will be very involved in Vicente’s education and will allow him to participate in extracurricular activities. Vicente may be slow to transition, so the family will be willing to participate in supportive services as well as any other services Vicente may need.
