Seth is a talkative, friendly, curious and energetic teen. He has a great sense of humor and enjoys talking with adults. He likes to play video games and read. Some of his favorite foods include pizza and BBQ chicken wings. Seth spends some of his free time playing Wii and Nintendo DS games. He also enjoys playing football and basketball, but has not yet played on any teams. He enjoys the outdoors very much too! He has fun fishing, and likes petting horses.
At school, his teachers report that Seth is engaged in class and interested in learning. Seth says he enjoys school and is getting mostly A’s. While social interactions can be difficult for him, in the classroom environment, he has proven that he is able to deal with disappointment and frustration well. Seth’s favorite class is PE where he is really enjoying the archery unit!
Seth is pleased to be learning and developing new tools and strategies to help him cope in positive ways with his feelings of stress and frustration. He is also enjoying participating in social skills building. In addition, Seth is getting much needed support in addressing his receptive-expressive language and articulation issues, which impact his coping and social skills.
Seth’s social worker would like to hear from couples and single parents who truly enjoy young teenagers, and who make sure that Seth has the resources he needs to realize his potential and to thrive.
