Juanita who likes to be called “Nita” is cheerful and energetic. If at first you think she is shy, give her a while to warm up and she will be joking and laughing in no time. She thrives on praise and one-on-one attention from caregivers. Nita loves to play imaginative games like dolls and dress-up, as well as spending time outdoors. Making arts and crafts is another popular pastime for Nita. Helpful, affectionate, determined and animated are some words to describe this great girl. Currently in fifth grade, she benefits from an IEP (Individualized Education Plan), counseling, speech and occupational therapies, which may need to continue after placement. It is unknown whether or not Nita will need assistance as an adult, but she can have a beautiful future! Nita would like to maintain contact with her sister. All family types will be considered. Juanita enjoys animals and would love to be with horses. She is loved by her peers at school as well as her teachers. Her teacher recognizes Juanita’s hard work and consistent effort to learn new things.
