| AAN’s New Home
Former Hickory Farms and AAN Home
The Hickory Farms’ red barn that we have lived in for over 16 years has been sold. While we regret having to leave the 6,000 square feet office space because of its historical significance and link to our founder, Dick Ransom, we are very excited about moving into the Summit Plaza Building which is operated by the YMCA. It is near the waterfront of the Maumee River, just north of the central business district. The YMCA is gradually converting the tenants from medical practices to mission-driven charities. We believe the closeness to downtown and sharing space with other charities is a great opportunity for AAN.
Currently, we have most of our staff in one 2,000 square feet suite on the
third floor. And yes! As packed in as we are, it’s a very good thing that we
already operate well as a team! Our development staff are temporarily housed on
the lower level of the building, using office space graciously donated by New
Hope Christian Community Foundation. They have been fantastic hosts.
 AAN's New Home
We anticipate moving into additional space as it becomes available, which
should occur before the end of the year. AAN will then occupy 4,500 square feet
that will be effectively configured to maximize efficiency and productivity..
Our 25th anniversary is this June, so the timing is good for us to launch the second 25 years of Adopt America Network in new office space. We are planning an open house following the final move and hope you will stop by and visit us.
