INTRODUCING
JON & MARY… WASHINGTON
Jon (39) works from home and Mary (43) is a Research Scientist. Jon and
Mary live in a house close to the University where they work. Mary runs
a biology research lab and Jon does computer programming for her. Their
schedules are flexible, and Jon plans to work largely from home after
the adoption. Jon and Mary have extended family that is anxious for them
to adopt and they have a large circle of people who have expressed a
willingness to help with the adoption. Jon and Mary enjoy board games
and role playing games, books (especially science fiction) and movies on
DVD. They love animals (they have a cat named Kira) and often visit the
zoo and aquarium together. They also enjoy bird watching and taking
walks in the local parks. Jon and Mary practice the Wiccan faith and
meet a few times a month with a small group of friends to celebrate the
season and cycles of nature. If their child or children are already
connected with a faith group they plan to maintain that connection:
their beliefs do not rule out attending church services or Sunday school
with their children.
Jon and Mary would like to adopt up to
three of either male or female children of any race between the ages of
4 to 12. They feel capable of accepting the following conditions: ADD,
ADHD, adjustment disorder, anxiety disorder, asthma, attachment
disorder, bipolar, cerebral palsy mild, depression, developmental
delays, diabetes, drug exposed, eating disorders, mild to moderate
emotional, encopresis, enuresis, epilepsy, heart murmur, hyperactivity,
learning disability, mood disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder,
physically abused, physically aggressive, PTSD, scoliosis, seizures,
self abusive, sexually abused, sexually acting out, and sickle cell.
