Lacey is a friendly and engaging little girl with Down Syndrome. She enjoys other people and is great at entertaining herself. A hearty and infectious laugh adds to her appeal. Lacey functions considerably below her chronological age, due to her disability and coupled with multiple relocations and a history of psychosocial stress. In her specialized school, she requires a personal aide because she is so active and often non-compliant. Her attention span is short, she moves quickly to objects that catch her eye and she must be closely watched. In order to achieve her personal best, Lacey needs a truly patient and committed parent with a lot of support. A home where she is either the youngest or the only child is recommended.
