Matthew is a sensitive, adorable, autistic toddler who loves playing with his toy trucks, blocks and stuffed animals. Due to developmental delays, Matthew walks with the aid of his walking-stander, but, scooting on his bottom is his preferable mode of getting around! Matthew has a wonderful appetite and will eat most foods presented to him. In the past he has had a slight aversion to coarsely textured foods, however, with gradual introduction to these types of meals he is becoming more accepting. On-going occupational therapies coupled with enrollment in a multi-sensory enrichment program is helping Matthew improve on some of his delays. The ideal family for Matthew is one that is patient, loving and willing to advocate for his medical, physical and education needs.
