Tommy is a cute boy who is a big fan of action heroes, especially batman and spiderman. He is also very fond of family pets, especially cats and dogs. Consistency and a very predictable daily routine are essential for Tommy to maintain and make progress. To better help him prepare for adoption, Tommy has been diagnosed with ADHD and RAD. He is very needy of attention from adults and other children. Positive reinforcements and tangible rewards are effective ways of motivating him. He needs to be prepared ahead of time whenever possible for any changes in his routine. Tommy has done best with "mom" foster parents in smaller families, but could do well with a nurturing, gentle dad figure in the picture, also. Having good educational and social skill building programs will be important in helping Tommy to reach his potential.
