Octavia is a peaceful, calm and angelic-looking girl who delights in being cuddled and enjoys having people around. She is soothed by gospel and classical music, and attending a Sunday church service is part of her routine. Medically fragile, Octavia has cerebral palsy and is partially deaf and blind. She is in a wheelchair and nutrition is provided through a feeding tube. In spite of many hospitalizations, she is a survivor and continues to make small gains. Octavia attends a school for the developmentally handicapped and receives all her therapy there. The very special family who welcomes this amazing girl into their hearts and home will need to have a great deal of patience, an abundance of support and the skill to attend to her multiple needs.
