2007 22nd A Very Special Evening” Dinner Auction

Because of our generous sponsors and advertisers (See left column), donors and attendees, the Dinner Auction was truly “A Very Special Evening!”  It netted over $111,000!

This provides Adopt America with the financial resources to help place around 28 more children so that hopefully, by next year they will celebrate the holidays with permanent loving families of their own.

We thank all of you who helped make this fundraiser a tremendous success.

If you would like to help make the 2008 Dinner Auction even more triumphant so that we can help even more children, then please consider:

  • Renewing or becoming a sponsor
  • Renewing or becoming an advertiser
  • Attending the event
    (Friday, October 10, 2008)
  • Donating an item.

We will have the forms online in February 2008; but you may also call Wendy Sowers, Auction Chair at RnsomCnslt@aol.com or call 419-893-5756.

Featured guests for this event included one "Special Family" - the Meadows Family who have adopted three "Special Children" from Adopt America Network. Elijah Dean with a "plethora of medical issues" was adopted by Beth and Rick Meadows and their five children in 2004. He is now 8 years old and doing amazingly well. The twins - Cameron and Jacob now three years old were adopted in 2005. Both were born with bilateral renal displasia and both received kidney transplants this summer - Cameron from Rick - his adoptive Dad, and Jacob matched for a transplant from a stranger.
